hardware software |
Description Otto Büttner a mechanical engineer from Dresden Germany, develops a calculator that performed the four basic calculations. This machine combined the stepping and gear wheel technology. And that makes this one a historical unique case in the development of calculators. Büttner created a symbiose between the two different technologies. Though the machine performed without any flaw Büttner and his associate never will get this calculator into serial production. Specifications see above Chronology 1888 first issue |
