1924 IBM is officially founded from the Computing Tabulating Recording Company.

1936 Konrad Zuse (Germany) constructs the  Z1 in his bedroom. The macine becomes so large that it occupies his parent's living room as well. Shown here is a reconstruction and the inventor is standing next to it at the Deutsches Museum in Munchen, Germany
