Description IPL-I (Information Processing Language) was developed by Allen Newell, J.C. Shaw, and Herbert Simon. IPL-I was used on the JOHNNIAC at the RAND Corporation mainly for providing theorems in propositional calculus. There were many different versions released, the most popular being IPL-V which was released in 1958.
