Electricity Being discovered in very early years electricity only came in use in the 19th century. This practical use of electricity has off course been crucial for the development of computing. It is said that even the Egyptians during the pharaoh culture had some form of electricity. They had one or two jars clad with tin foil and a silver rod functioning as cathode. When they filled the jar with acid electrical current flowed. Scientist have reconstructed this setup and it appeared to have been working. But no one knows where the Egyptians used it for. |
