On the April 14th, 1961 Russia will bring Yoeri Gagarin as the first human being into space.

President of the USA felt really unhappy with this because space fare was mutually used as a means of propaganda. So Kennedy promised the American citizen that the USA  would put the first human on the moon.

The Russians did not sit on their hands and had two projects running at the same time to get someone to the moon. But mis-management and ordinary jealousy deemed the project to fail. But they had the better cards indeed! However the Americans succeed on July the 20th, 1969

The information technology advanced tremendously from the space race. Everything had to be smaller and lighter because of the space constraints in future space crafts. Thus the minituraliszation technology took gigantic leaps because of that
